Random Thoughts on Summer - A Space for Refreshments - A Space for the Quiet (books, coffee, and flowers)
’Tis moonlight, summer moonlight,
All soft and still and fair;
The solemn hour of midnight
Breathes sweet thoughts everywhere,
But most where trees are sending
Their breezy boughs on high,
Or stooping low are lending
A shelter from the sky.
And there in those wild bowers
A lovely form is laid;
Green grass and dew-steeped flowers
Wave gently round her head. ‘
Moonlight, Summer Moonlight by Emily Jane Brontë
This summer season, I am trying to focus on what is beautiful despite the fervent steamy weather.
….
Sweetness of ancient days!
Purity of a white rose
Waking up
To the vastness
Of the cerulean sky,
Then, blushing!
Freshness of water drops,
Splashed and sprinkled
Somewhere upon
The surface of the ocean!
Luminosity of Sun Rays,
Spreading warmth and hope
Over hills,
Over valleys,
And over the surface of the water,
At each twilight,
At each Dawn!
Spikes of joy bunched in
Children’s laughter!
To me,
You beautify
The fervent times
of summer!
Today I am asking myself again; what also about summer could make me relish?
Fine breezes outside at night; whenever the atmosphere is serene and calm and pleasant. Whether I have the opportunity to enjoy silence, evening -mountain- beach or riverside- ambles, or the calm amiable conversations.

There is no amazement in the summer such observing a laughing kid. This laughter can seemingly nourish and revive the atmosphere with sheer happiness while the kid is running, twirling, and rolling over the grey grass.
Tiny gentle hands are playing with sand, collecting pebbles, and touching variant shapes of shells.
Adorable scenes that melt the heart with merry joy.

Interestingly, those chilled moments
of Mediterranean’s summer incite sweet hymns; Hoping for rain.
When crisp breeze blows, it evokes homey memories
of warm blankets and wintery reading sessions of valuable books.
The fond of flipping the pages of a book …
Sort of enjoying the melodies of rustling papers,
and voyaging through a flowing river of words…
“Confession: I have read Pride and Prejudice two hundred times. I get lost in the language, words like: Thither. Mischance. Felicity.”

Through reading, loads of charm and beauty could be conveyed to the ecstatic world I am trying to design in my mind. In particular, when words are ingeniously chosen-concerning their meaning and letters’ tones, when sentences are elegantly written, and when images are superbly constructed.
Between written
Letters and words
Waterfalls of florets
Bloom and spread
A magical world
Is exquisitely constructed
Within the pages
Of a valuable book!
'But where our hearts truly lie is in peace and quiet and good tilled earth.'
JRR Tolkien
To be in the quiet -even for moments. To glance towards the sky, and to look deeply into the blueness of the sea. To contemplate on the core meaning of the existence, and to reflect on the authentic belonging of the heart…
To live disregarding of the noise and the nonsense of the outside ..
Peacefully, in a tranquil corner of your heart
In harmony with the real self
Fairly, caressing the opening blossoms of that genuine self…
Hoping to discover as much as possible of its blooms; the ultimate state of serenity…
"Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven."
Jessi Lane Adams
She experienced the taste of rest in a quiet sip of aromatic coffee, in a deep sight at hydrangeas’ florets, and in a fascinating wander through pages of a riveting book.
In my mind
I collect
Cups of coffee
Bunches of roses
Blossoms from March
Fields of lavender
And loads of books
I put them all in a basket
I imagine a cloud of ascending fog
Infused with coffee aroma
Mixed with floral scents
I put a smile on my face
And carry on with my day…
